Exporting references from ProjectMUSE

To export references from ProjectMUSE into EndNote, follow the process described below.

Step 1: Select reference/s to export

First, make sure your EndNote library is open. Search Project MUSE, and apply search filters if necessary, to retrieve relevant results.

To select references to export:

  • Click Save Citation under each reference
  • At the top of the left hand menu, click Export Saved Citations

Step 2: Export reference file and open in EndNote

The Export Saved Citations dialog box will open.

  • Select Option 2 > Export to EndNote

  • If you are using Firefox, an .ris file will open in EndNote and the reference/s will be imported
  • If you are using another browser, such as Google Chrome, the .ris file will download - double-click on it from the downloads bar or saved location to open it in EndNote and import the reference/s

Open each imported reference and make any changes necessary to produce an accurate citation.
