Welcome to your guide to mathematics resources at AUT Library.

Research strategy

Before you start searching think about your topic and keywords.
Check out:

Try your keywords in:

Refine your results to document type, date or peer-reviewed.  Check the item's keywords used for more search terms.

For help finding information your topic go to the Subject resources tab.

Use Library Search for your initial search.

Refine your search:

  • limit to Academic Journals or Peer Reviewed
  • Limit to a date range

Most articles are in electronic journals.  Follow the online link to open the webpage and pdf.

Use Library Search to find print and e-books.

  • For print books use the call number to locate the books on the shelves. These numbers are on the book's spine and on the shelf.  
  • E-books can be read online or downloaded using Adobe Digital Editions. 
  1. ​​For books look for the Bonus+ logo on a Library Search result page.  This will take you to a screen where you are able to request from a Library in New Zealand or Australia.
  2. If you can't find the book there use the Inter-Library Loans Service - For help use this Guide.
  3. Journal articles not available in our databases should be requested through the Inter-Library Loans Service.
  4. Request an item be purchased for the Library - Materials request form.

Searching databases

Search a database:

  • after you have done your initial search in Library Search and have a better idea of what you want to search for
  • if you have been unable to find what you need in Library Search
