About AUT Scholarly Commons

AUT Scholarly Commons is the central archive and repository for the long term preservation of AUT University research and scholarly outputs in digital format.

The name Scholarly Commons was selected because of its association with Information Commons, a term that is widely used to describe a space where you can access a wide variety of learning and teaching resources.

The Māori name Putunga Rangahau was suggested by John Moorfield, Professor in Māori Innovation and Development at AUT University, to convey the idea of a storage place for research.

The repository contains the research outputs, such as journal articles and conference papers, of AUT University's staff as well as doctoral and masters theses and dissertations deposited with AUT University Library since 2002.

This repository was developed using DSpace, an open source software platform.
