Journal abbreviations

The APA 7th style in EndNote replaces abbreviated journal  or magazine names with the full name.  Check the journal title in the Periodical Title or Journal fields in Word or the Preview pane.

Example

Eaqub, S. (2019, September/October). Generation rent revisited. Metro, (425), 64–77.

EndNote may change Metro to Metrologica.

Solution 1

You can modify this in EndNote by going to Tools / Open Terms Lists / Journal Terms List.  Add Metro as a new term.

Add any journals you reference.

Solution 2

Edit the style in the Output Style Manager.
