Key information

• Articles accepted between 1 January and 31 December of the year the agreement is in place are eligible
• There is no cap on the number of articles per year that can be published under this agreement

• Includes most of Karger's hybrid and fully open access journals

Eligible authors

To be eligible for publishing with no APC fees:

• You must be the corresponding author. 
• You must use your AUT email
• You must select your affiliation with Auckland University of Technology

• Karger: Open access submission process
• Karger: Author guidelines are available for the journal you are submitting in
   

Submission 

• Check if the journal you are going to submit to is on the eligible journal list
• Go to the journal homepage
• Log in to the publisher's submission system (Manuscript Manager)
• Read and confirm the submission guidelines
• Enter funding and OA agreement information
• Follow publisher instructions to complete the submission process
   

On acceptance

• The publisher will ask the corresponding author to complete a publishing agreement - follow publisher instructions
• The APC is waived for eligible authors
