Oxford University Press agreement

Key information

  • Articles accepted between 1 January and 31 December of the year the agreement is in place are eligible 
  • Number of included articles is capped at 1101 articles per year (collective pool for all CAUL institutions)
  • Find up-to-date capped approval statistics in CAUL's reports
     

Included journal titles

  • Includes some (c360) of OUPs hybrid journals
  • See OUP's journal list and check the column "Included in R&P agreement" to identify the eligible journals

 

Eligible authors

To be eligible for publishing with no APC fees:

  • You must be the corresponding author
  • You must use your AUT email
  • You must select your affiliation with Auckland University of Technology

Publishing process

Author information

 

Submission 

  • Follow the publisher's usual article submission process via the journal’s homepage
  • The Corresponding author must submit the article
  • Use your AUT email address
     

On acceptance

  • Accepted articles will be approved by CAUL first
  • The publisher will ask the corresponding author to complete an agreement 
  • Sign in to OUPs licensing and payment system
  • Select open access and confirm license type
  •  You will be asked to confirm you will pay the open access charge, however, the charge will be automatically waived if your article is assessed as eligible under the agreement
  • Proceed to payment and select ‘Australia and New Zealand Institutions (CAUL affiliated)’ from the dropdown list of institutions beneath ‘Open Access Prepayment Account’ on the Article Charges page
  • Check the ‘Refer Charge?’ box next to the Open Access charge, and then click ‘Refer Charges’ at the bottom of the page
