What is Mendeley?

‚ÄčMendeley is a tool for reference management, research data management and citation solutions.

Mendeley provides a desktop software and an online library. You may use one or both versions. You can sync your desktop library with your online library easily.

Mendeley features

  • Free to download
  • Versions available for Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems
  • Using your AUT email to register with Mendeley will give you 100 GB personal storage; 100 GB shared storage; 1000 private groups of up to 100 collaborators
  • Use the Web Importer to capture references, and full-text documents (PDF) if available
  • Share your reference folders with colleagues or other researchers
  • Generate formatted in-text citations and reference lists within word processor documents (e.g. Microsoft Word)
  • Import and annotate PDFs

Update: Mendeley mobile apps will be removed from the App Store on 15 March 2021. If you are the current Mobile app user, you will no longer be able to use this app from 15 March 2021. Use your Mendeley online library instead.
