To export references from any EBSCO database into EndNote, follow the process described below.
Step 1: Select reference/s to export
First, make sure your EndNote library is open. Search the EBSCO database, and apply search filters if necessary, to retrieve relevant results.
To select a single reference to export:

- From the right-hand panel menu, click Export
To select several references to export at the same time:
- Select multiple items by clicking on the Add to Folder icon to the right of each item
|
|
- Click Folder in the menu bar
- Click Export to export all the items in your folder
- Alternatively, you can tick selected references to export > Export
Step 2: Export reference file and open in EndNote
The Export Manager dialog box will appear.
Check Direct Export in RIS Format > Save
- If you are using Firefox, an .RIS file will open in EndNote and the reference/s will be imported
- If you are using another browser, such as Google Chrome, the .RIS file will be downloaded - double-click on it from the downloads bar or saved location to open it in EndNote and import the reference/s
Open each imported reference in EndNote and make any changes necessary to produce an accurate citation.
