Key information

• Articles submitted between 1 January and 31 December of the year the agreement is in place are eligible
• There is no cap on the number of articles per year that can be published under this agreement

Eligible authors

To be eligible for publishing with no APC fees:

• You must be the corresponding author
• You must use your AUT email
• You must include your affiliation with Auckland University of Technology

Submission 

• Check if the journal you are going to submit to is on the eligible journal list
• Submit your article using the journal tool, called Journal Connect (first time users will need to create an account)
• You must be the corresponding author
• You must use your AUT email
• You must indicate your affiliation with Auckland University of Technology
   

On acceptance

• The corresponding author will receive a link to complete the publication process
• Log back into Journal Connect and choose the option “Yes, my Institution has an OA Agreement”.
• CAUL will validate that your article is covered by our agreements
• The APC is automatically waived for authors who have:
  • used their institutional (AUT) email address 
  • selected AUT as their institutional affiliation from a drop down list
