  • When a film title is in a different language, include a translation of the title in square brackets

  • Include the names of all executive producers and production companies, unless there are more than 20. See the Authors section for more on multiple authors
  • When the series spans multiple years, use an en dash to separate the years: (2001–2009). If the series is still airing, replace the second year with the word "present": (2017–present)

  • The person or group who uploaded the video is credited as the author, even if they did not create the work. Note the names of those who appear in the video in your writing if desired (see TED talk for an example)
  • If both an author's real name and username are known, provide the real name followed by the username in square brackets
  • If the real name of the author is unknown, use just the username as the name. Do not abbreviate the username and do not put it in square brackets

  • When the speaker is not listed as the author, integrate their name into your writing if desired. For example:

Geppert discusses ways her video game explores themes of loneliness and self-doubt (TED, 2020).
